Membership Process & Cost

Membership in AWE is a three-stage process taking approximately 30 – 60 days, depending on the time of application.

Usually, the first step toward becoming a member of AWE is to attend one of our Inspire-Support-Empower™ events as a guest. If you are interested in attending an event as a guest, please contact our Membership Committee.

AWE Membership Process:

  1. Prospective member completes the Membership Application,
  2. Membership Application is reviewed by the Membership Committee, and if approved,
  3. Nominee is reviewed by the AWE Board of Directors for final invitation to join the organization.

Currently, our Membership Committee and Board of Directors meet every-other month, and approval by both groups is required for invitation to join the organization. 

Once approved by the Board of Directors, new members are sent a Membership Welcome Packet that includes the Membership Agreement, Membership Policies and FAQs, and the annual AWE Calendar of Events. Upon receipt of the one-time Joining Fee and annual Membership Fee, new members are able to participate fully in all events and the on-line community.

Cost

Individual members pay a one-time joining fee of $500, and an annual membership fee of $300. 

Corporations with more than one female owner/founder pay a one-time joining fee of $500 for the corporation, and each individual member pays an annual membership fee of $300.

Austin Women Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization, and all monies are used to support the programs and activities of AWE.
