Membership

Membership Requirements

AWE is a highly-connected, active organization.  To retain that spirit we have limited membership to 200 women entrepreneurs. 

To qualify for membership in Austin Women Entrepreneurs, prospective applicants must be a female founder and owner of a for-profit business in Austin, Texas.

In addition, AWE seeks members who:

  • Are actively growing their business(es);
  • Are passionate about entrepreneurship; and,
  • Will become committed, engaged participants in AWE.

Once invited to join, new members must:

  • Sign AWE's Membership Agreement;
  • Pay a one-time joining fee;

Ongoing, all members must:

  • Pay annual membership dues;
  • Volunteer at least 10 hours to AWE or provide a 10% discount on products or services to fellow AWE members;
  • Serve on either the Board of Directors or a Leadership Committee once every five years.
